I’m sure a lot of parents would love to help out in the classroom this year! I think it is very important for parents to be involved in their child’s school. The FSF, Families Supporting Faculty, also agrees with that. They have created a program to get families involved in all our school activities. There is more information in the main hallway next to the school office. This is new for everyone this school year.
Each family is required to help with 2 school activities per year. One of the activities can include helping in a classroom. If you are interested in volunteering in my classroom, that is great. I will have a filing tray somewhere in the classroom with materials I could use some help on!
I feel that it is important for your child to spread their wings in Kindergarten. I feel that it would not be beneficial to the children if I had parent volunteers in the classroom on a daily basis. Even if I do not have anything specifically needed in my classroom, I'm sure that other teachers could use your help!
